What is Web Hosting (Hosting)?

When will my hosting service be activated?
All hosting packages are activated immediately, however there may be some delay when registering your domain name. this is because when you purchase your domain name, it has to activate around the world in all the DNS Servers. this can sometimes take up to 24-48 hours to fully complete.
Do I pay any hidden fees?

at My Domain Host, there are no hidden fees, charges, or anything else!
When you go to checkout or purchase a product, all costs are shown to you on the process order page. we do not and will not charge for any excess fees.
If however, you are charged any of the excess fees that we absorb, we will provide you with 1 month FREE hosting credited to your account on the plan your on. Simply email us at support@mydomainhost.com.au or create a ticket for the billing team and let them know you were overcharged and the credit will be applied once verified.
I want to transfer my website to you. Do you do this?
YES WE DO!
Simply log into your account, create a support ticket to Transfers and one of our technicians will be able to help with the migration.
Please note, that if your hosting package with us is not big enough to support your current website, you will need to upgrade your hosting package before the transfer will be able to be done.
Which scripts are compatible with your server?
We have built into our servers a Software Apps Database called Softaculous. Softaculous has over 200+ applications available to install onto your hosting package.
What is free SSL?
FREE SSL is issued to a domain name through our trusted partner LetsEncrypt SSL service.
When you have a hosting account and domain with us, we will automatically assign you a FREE SSL for the life of your hosting and domain account. the SSL is valid for a period of 90 days and after this, we will automatically renew it for you. This SSL certificate is a basic trust certificate and would recommend using a fully paid certificate that is valid for 1 year. these can be purchased through our SSL page.

Of Course you can! once you have purchased a domain name and have a hosting account, simply log into the client account, go to emails, and click add email account.
If you have difficulty, please contact us and we will be happy to assist setting it up for you.
Do you perform the backup operation?
Our servers backup to an external remote system twice daily so there is never an issue when it comes to data loss.
What are security precautions?
Regardless of the type of hosting package you have with us, our servers run both twice daily backups, hourly and daily system and software updates, has the latest antivirus and malware protection definitions and updates in place, a secure multi protocol active firewall in place and a number of other security features running in the background to protect clients data from any malicious threats or attacks. Also with all new accounts, we offer FREE SSL certificates as a default addition to all hosting and domain packages held with us.
